October 16, 2009 - To take advantage of the beautiful day I took a drive down the beautiful "Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway" where I stumble on two wonderful stop to explore for the afternoon. First discovery was the
Vista House overlooking the Columbia River Gorge just outside Corbett, Oregon. Dedicated as a National Landmark in 1918 this is a wonderful place to overlook the gorge. Further down the road I found one of several areas to pull out and look at one of many of the waterfalls along the scenic highway. Todays stop was at
Latourell Falls. I planed to just stop and take a few photos, but ended up on a half day hike that wound around the mountainside and along the creek that makes up the fall. I can't wait to visit it in the spring when the water is really flowing.
October 13, 2009: After many months of effort in preparing my transcripts and filing all the paperwork with the
Oregon Institue of Technology, I have been accepted. I have been working hard on my GPA and have got it into the 3.7 range and I guess that is enough to get into the program. Winter 2010 I will continue my education in Information Technology and my continued quest to get back into the telecommunications business.
